
Field Specialist Trainee
The Artificial Lift Field Specialist Trainee is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable Product and service delivery. The AL Field Specialist is responsible for Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) installations and pulls, start-up, and troubleshooting. He / She identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work, and manages risk during service delivery
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for installation and pulls, start-up, and troubleshooting of ESP.
- Implement new and ongoing field processes.
- Ability to follow standard work instructions and checklists to ensure efficient and correct completion of tasks.
- Self-motivated to stay informed about new and changing technology and procedures.
- Monitor operation of the ESP.
- Interface with client and rig crew on location.
- Participate in the Field Service team to share knowledge and experience.
- Apply lessons learned about safety and installation processes.
- Complete detailed paperwork on wellsite to document onsite activities and equipment.
Minimum qualifications & experience:
- College Diploma or associate degree (Electrical / Mechanical), equivalent experience including military experience will be considered.
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous oilfield experience is desirable
- Previous experience installing and troubleshooting ESP pumps is a plus
- Electrically and mechanically inclined
- Excellent communication both verbal and written
- Good computer skills.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship
