External Candidates - please apply with the Apply Now button.This is a 12 month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension.Key position functions include: • Provide general human resource services focusing on recruitment, orientation and onboarding. • Lead recruitment and selection activity for entry level positions, including advertising, screening, interviewing, checking references and offers of employment. • Utilize the applicant tracking system to regularly monitor and update the status of advertised positions. • Coordinate and conduct pre-screens, in-person, and virtual interviews. • Utilize job boards, sourcing tools and human resources techniques to attract and identify candidates. • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify human resources talent needs. • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines. • Coordinate orientation and onboarding activities, and further develop program to best assimilate new employees. • Assist with employee inquiries. • Support the payroll department with project work as required. • Perform other related projects/duties as assigned.Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications: • Two years’ experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Recruiter role preferred. • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Good understanding of recruitment strategies and familiarity with sourcing through industry-leading sourcing tools. • Knowledge of all full life-cycle recruiting components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking and assessing candidate skills. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Motivated and efficient self-starter with positive “can do” attitude. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Proven track record in applying effective recruitment practices. • HRIS experience would be as asset (UKG preferred). • Strong working knowledge of MS applications. <h3>Description</h3>&nbsp;Key position functions include:<ul><li>Work closely with the Senior Management and Executive Teams to establish and implement Company vision, long term plans and strategic objectives.</li><li>Collaborate with the Stream-Flo and Master Flo Senior Management Teams concerning HR strategic planning and key business issues impacting the workforce.</li><li>Provide effective problem solving, decision making and advisory services to Senior Management Teams, Management and employees concerning human resources issues.</li><li>Strong focus on understanding and supporting business and management’s needs.</li><li>Strong working knowledge on benefits and compensation and the ability to work closely with Finance to ensure we are competitive both domestically and internationally.</li><li>Oversee the ongoing development and implementation of effective human resources strategies, policies and services, with the objective of attracting and retaining a high performing workforce to meet the needs of the business.</li><li>Work closely with the Human Resources, Payroll and Management teams and actively participate as a true working manager.</li><li>Initiate workforce planning and organizational development strategies in response to changing business initiatives and economic conditions.</li><li>Lead and oversee the ongoing development and implementation of effective human resources practices/services related to recruitment, retention, employee relations, total compensation, onboarding, training, rewards and recognition, communication, performance management, payroll and corrective action/progressive discipline.</li><li>Engage, advise and collaborate on a regular basis with the Senior Management Teams, management representatives and the HR teams as issues arise impacting the workforce or individual employees.</li><li>On an ongoing basis establish objectives and priorities for the HR and Payroll Teams and monitor progress.</li><li>Respond to urgent or critical employee/employment issues impacting the business.</li><li>Oversee Canadian, US and International Payroll services.</li><li>Research and advise on compliance/best practices in varied employment jurisdictions as required (Canadian provinces, US states, international/expatriates).</li><li>Protect Company interests by ensuring that Stream-Flo Group employment practices are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations.</li><li>Represent Company interests when liaising/corresponding with Company legal counsel, external legal counsel, government agencies, etc.</li><li>Liaise with and/or oversee external providers in support of Company programs/services (i.e. UKG, Synerion, etc.).</li></ul>&nbsp;Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:<ul><li>Post-secondary degree in a related field.</li><li>15 years HR experience, with minimum 3 years in a senior leadership role. Experience managing diverse HR teams.</li><li>Proven ability to provide oversight to large organizations with multiple business lines and jurisdictions. Experience working within oil and gas or manufacturing would be an asset.</li><li>Charted Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is an asset.</li><li>Broad range of experience in multiple HR disciplines (recruitment, compensation, employee relations, policy development, talent management, learning and development, etc.).</li><li>Proven industry related experience in order to make sound recommendations regarding HR strategy to the Executive Team.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create clear written communications on behalf of management and/or the company.</li><li>Proven problem solving, analytical and decision making skills. High attention to detail.</li><li>Well organized, self-motivated.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Canadian employment market and legislation.
