The Journeyman Welder is expected to act as a liaison to the Lead Hand to ensure that all products and projects are produced and completed in a high-quality and efficient manner.&nbsp;Responsibilities<ul><li>Assembly of newly fabricated oilfield equipment</li><li>Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances</li><li>Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments</li><li>Perform predictive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis and follow through with repairing or replacing defective parts when necessary</li><li>Service and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and programmable logic controls</li><li>Must have the ability to conduct precision measurement and inspection of mechanical components</li><li>Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures</li><li>Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary oilfield and mechanical equipment for repair according to layout plans using hand and power tools</li><li>Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, dollies, and forklifts to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery</li><li>Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery</li><li>Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery</li><li>Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations</li><li>Apply mechanical repair principles and procedures to make sure that machinery runs properly</li><li>Set up and adjust complex machinery for new patterns and products</li><li>Confer with management to recommend equipment changes and modifications and evaluate new equipment</li><li>Assist with standard shop housekeeping and upkeep on an ad hoc basis&nbsp;</li><li>Must be willing to work in and participate in safety conscious environment</li><li>Must be motivated and have good communication skills</li><li>Candidate must have a positive attitude with the ability to work well with others and on their own</li><li>Produce quality products based on engineering drawings with minimal defects</li></ul>Knowledge &amp; SkillsExcellent attitude toward safety and demonstrated commitment to a safe work environmentStrong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as follow the direction of supervisorsWell-developed written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to train and mentor apprenticesBackground in a service-oriented facilityStrong attention to detailHave a solid understanding of OHS regulations, WHMIS, and the importance of PPE on the worksiteEducationA High School Education or GED equivalent is requiredCompletion of a four-year apprenticeship program in Millwrighting or Industrial MechanicsExperienceCompletion 72-month minimum experience and 9360 combined working hoursMust hold Registered Red Seal Journeyman Millwright Certification&nbsp;4+ Years of experience in an Industrial Mechanical capacity
