We work with our customers to design and deliver customized solutions, and provide additional services such as delivery and installation, furniture rentals and other add-ons.BOXX Modular is hiring for a Product Manager to join our team. This position will be based out of one of our branches across Canada or the United States. We will consider candidates in the following locations:Edmonton or Calgary, AB; Langley, BC: Stoney Creek, ON; Houston or DFW, TXAs a Product Manager your role would involve overseeing the development and management of new modular building products and services for rental and sale. You would be responsible for understanding customer needs, defining product strategies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful product development, roll-out and enhancement of these new products.&nbsp; The objective is increased sales and rental revenue for the business from products that have low maintenance costs and optimized lifecycle returns on investment.It is anticipated that the role will include improving existing and developing new Value Added Product and Service offerings, solving barriers to adoption, assist in the development of marketing campaigns and training sales people.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop a deep understanding of the modular building rental market, including customer segments, trends, and competition.</li><li>Define the product/service vision and strategy based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals.</li><li>Identify opportunities for new product development of enhancement to existing rental offerings to meet customer needs</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, engineering, and marketing to develop product roadmaps aligned with business objectives.</li><li>Prioritize features and functionalities based on customer value, market demand, and technical feasibility.</li><li>Engage with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather requirements and understand user needs.</li><li>Gather and analyze customer requirements and translate them into actionable product specifications.</li><li>Translate customer needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.</li><li>Develop business cases for products/services including&nbsp; cost-benefit analysis and make data-driven decisions on product costs/features to maximize return on investment.</li><li>Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure clear communication and alignment during the development process.</li><li>Coordinate testing of products/services to ensure they function as desired and revise product/service design as necessary</li><li>Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product launches.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering teams to drive the development of new rental products or enhancements.</li><li>Define and track key product metrics to evaluate success and iterate on product improvements.</li><li>Analyze market data, user behavior and industry trends to identify opportunities for product optimization and competitive differentiation.</li><li>Develop product/service documentation for assembly and after sales service</li><li>Develop sales training materials</li><li>Work with Marketing to develop product brochures, updates to the website, and product launch marketing campaigns</li><li>Monitor product profitability/ROA, product performance and customer feedback, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions.</li><li>Continuously iterate on the product based on feedback, data insights, and evolving customer needs.</li><li>Support the introduction across all Boxx Modular markets of the SmartSpace product line by becoming a subject matter expert on the product, and aligning product deliverables with customer needs, while ensuring branch capabilities to support SmartSpace are optimised.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in construction, industrial products, or modular building industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of modular building systems and their applications.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans.</li><li>Ability to transition easily from high-level strategy development to hands-on physical creation, testing and demonstration of product prototypes.</li><li>Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, create buy-in and meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with data-driven approach to decision making including the ability to solve barriers to product customer adoption.</li><li>Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.</li><li>Passion for innovation and customer centric mindset.</li><li>Ability to build relationships across the business, and collaborate effectively with employees, contractors, and customers</li><li>Willing and able to travel within Canada and the U.S., position requires 30% travel to our branch locations across North America as well as to suppliers and manufacturing partners.</li></ul>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer&nbsp;Black Diamond Group Limited is committed to diversity, equal opportunity and ensuring that our employees have the ability to thrive in an inclusive environment.
