We are a globally recognized business celebrated for our tenacious full service approach and relentless pursuit of industry dominance and excellence.  At CDN Controls, we understand that our employees are the biggest asset in our success, and we take great pride in selecting employees who are team oriented, driven and eager to succeed. Our growing company is currently looking to hire Journeyman &amp; Apprentice Electricians to join our Maintenance team, based out of our Brooksoffice.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil and Gas industry, a safety conscious mentality and are willing to learn and grow within CDN Controls.  As our Electrician, you will be responsible to: <ul><li>Adhere to all company environmental, heath, and safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.</li><li>Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFD’s.</li><li>Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.</li><li>Understand and inter-operate the most current Canadian electrical code book and exercise the rules when applicable. </li><li>Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.</li><li>Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.</li><li>Responsible for all administrative, material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul>Qualifications Required: <ul><li>Indentured 1st- 4th Year Apprentice or Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.</li><li>A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.</li><li>Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.</li><li>Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.</li><li>Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.</li><li>A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required prior to employment.</li></ul>Why CDN Controls?Our goal is to ensure CDN Controls is the best place for you to work. Other duties include carrying out various coil tubing operations, such as wellbore cleanouts and stimulation treatments as directed required.Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality of fracturing fluids and proppants, ensuring they meet specified standards and requirements.Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety regulations, procedures and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-job equipment checks and maintenance to ensure proper functioning and readiness for operation.Troubleshooting: Monitor and control the operation of the coil tubing unit during well intervention activities, adjusting parameters as necessary to optimize performance and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on coil tubing equipment, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate coil tubing activities, communicate job progress, and address any challenges encountered during operations. Documentation: Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly, including job reports, equipment maintenance records, and safety documentation.Environmental Compliance: Follow established procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.QualificationsExperience: Previous experience in coil tubing operations or a related field is preferred, though training may be provided for candidates with relevant mechanical or technical backgrounds.Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining coil tubing equipment, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of coil operations.Safety Consciousness: Commitment to adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations, with a demonstrated track record of promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.Communication: Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours in demanding outdoor conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, and potentially hazardous chemicals.Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours and be on call as needed, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the demands of coil operations.Required Qualifications<ul><li>Must live around the Medicine Hat area or be willing to relocate.
