<h2>Job Description</h2>Essential Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Formulate efficient operational programs that maximize machine utilization and product quality to assure customer expectations are met;</li><li>Complete and maintain the program documentation and file system;</li><li>Be responsive to the short-term needs of the shop to keep the NC machines running at 100% efficiency;</li><li>Contribute to the cost reduction program by actively seeking and reporting opportunities for reduced costs;</li><li>Maintain awareness of new ideas in processes, tools, methods, etc. and apply them effectively to NC manufacturing;</li><li>Develop and maintain open communication with all personnel, including accepting suggestions and instruction;</li><li>Responsible for coordinating with the Manufacturing Engineer to update routers for part programs created or modified;</li><li>Develop the programs for CNC lathes and mills;</li><li>Ensure communication to CNC machines is running properly;</li><li>Search drawings for CNC programs;</li><li>Assist Supervisors, Quality Assurance &amp; Conversational operators with troubleshooting;</li><li>Set up new machines and train operators;</li><li>Attend meetings on NCR’s, variances etc.;</li><li>Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies;</li><li>Perform other work-related tasks as required, as assigned.</li></ul>Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent;</li><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience in programming or 5 years minimum running and programming machines;</li><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience with CanCad software programing</li><li>FeatureCam software experience is considered an asset</li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks is considered an asset</li><li>Proficiency in Mazatrol programing is considered an asset</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Ability to set up tight tolerances;</li><li>Shop safety knowledge;</li><li>High attention to detail;</li><li>Able to work in groups and under minimal supervision.</li></ul>Competencies Required (FYI Book):<ul><li>Customer Focus;</li><li>Drive for Results;</li><li>Integrity and Trust;</li><li>Dealing with Ambiguity;</li><li>Effective Communication – verbal and written.</li></ul>HSE Requirements (Training and Physical Requirements):<ul><li>Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training (completed in-house)</li><li>HSE Orientation (completed in-house)</li><li>Forklift Training (completed in-house)</li><li>Lifting and Rigging Training (completed in-house)</li></ul>Preferred method of application and to view all opportunities, visit:<a href="https://www.nov.com/Careers" target="_blank">https://www.nov.com/Careers</a>NOV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination or Harassment of Any Kind:&nbsp;NOV is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunities for everyone and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
