Welder's Helper / Shop Hand

Roska DBO is currently looking for a Welder’s Helper / Shop Hand to support our busy Pipe Fabrication Shop in Grande Prairie. This is a local, shop-based position (no field work required) and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Mainly assisting welding but occasionally assisting with pipefitting, and hydro testing crews in material preparation and job setup
• Support the assembly of process piping, valves, and components
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the shop and yard
• Assist with the upkeep of rental and mobile yard equipment
• Help with receiving materials, completing paperwork, and notifying supervisors of deliveries
• Perform minor painting and other general labor tasks as required

Requirements:

• Related oil and gas experience strongly preferred
• Valid H2S Alive and First Aid certification
• Must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (GDL may be considered)
• Physically fit and able to lift and work long hours when needed
• Familiarity with hand and power tools (drills, impacts, wrenches, etc.)
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and work both independently and in a team
• Forklift or skid steer certification considered an asset
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
